كم مرة استيقظنا على خبر كهذا؟ كم مرة قيل لنا إن "الضربة المؤلمة" هذه ستغير كل شيء؟ ألا نشعر جميعاً بتلك الدغدغة المزعجة في مؤخرة أذهاننا، التي تهمس: "وهل تغير شيء حقاً؟" دعنا نكون صرحاء، نحن لا نتحدث عن أرقام أو بيانات صحفية، بل عن دائرة لا متناهية من الفعل ورد الفعل، حيث كل "قائد" يسقط هو بذرة لقائد آخر. متى سنتوقف عن تكرار نفس السيناريو ونتجرأ على طرح الأسئلة الحقيقية؟
السؤال الذي يتجنّبه الجميع
السؤال الحقيقي الذي يتجنّبه الجميع، والذي يختبئ خلف بيانات الإدانة والشجب والتبرير، هو: هل نعتقد بصدق أن الصراع هو مجرد لعبة شطرنج، حيث سقوط قطعة واحدة يغير مسار اللعبة جذرياً؟ هل الوجود البشري وراء فكرة، خلف قضية، يمكن أن يُنهى برصاصة أو صاروخ؟ نحن نرى أنفسنا كمن يطفئ حريقاً بإلقاء المزيد من الوقود عليه، ثم نستغرب لماذا يشتعل اللهيب أكثر. ألا نرى أن كل قائد يُستهدف، يصبح في أعين مؤيديه شهيداً، ورمزاً، وملهماً لألف قائد جديد؟ هل المشكلة في الأشخاص أم في الظروف التي تولّد هؤلاء الأشخاص؟ هل نحن نخدع أنفسنا أم أننا نفضل الهروب من مواجهة الجذور العميقة للأزمات؟ هذا ليس سؤالاً بسيطاً، ولا إجابته سهلة، لكنه يستحق أن يُطرح بصراحة تامة.
وجهان لعملة واحدة
دعنا نكن صرحاء: هناك من يرى في هذه العمليات ضرورة قصوى للحفاظ على أمنه، وتفكيك بنية "العدو"، واجتثاث جذور "الإرهاب". يخبروننا بأن هؤلاء القادة هم العقول المدبرة، وبدونهم ستتزعزع القدرة على الفعل. وهذا منطق قد يبدو مقنعاً للوهلة الأولى، أليس كذلك؟ يهدف إلى قطع رأس الأفعى، وإضعاف الخصم، وتقليل التهديد المباشر. لكن في المقابل، هناك من يرى في نفس هذه العمليات تصعيداً عدوانياً، واستهدافاً غير مشروع، وجريمة تضاف إلى سجل طويل. يخبروننا بأن هذه القيادات هي رمز للمقاومة والصمود، وأن استهدافها لن يزيد الشارع إلا غضباً وتصميماً على المضي قدماً. أليست هذه هي الرواية التي نسمعها مراراً وتكراراً من الطرف الآخر؟ ألا تتشابه الحجج بشكل مخيف؟ كل طرف يرى نفسه ضحية، والآخر جلاداً، وكلٌ يبرر فعلته بمنطق "الدفاع عن النفس" أو "ردع العدوان". فهل نحن أمام حرب أمن أم حرب روايات لا نهاية لها، حيث لا يوجد منتصر حقيقي، بل فقط المزيد من الخسائر البشرية والمعنوية؟ أين تكمن الحقيقة بين هذه الروايات المتضاربة؟
ماذا لو كنّا صرحاء؟
ماذا لو كنّا صرحاء واعترفنا بأن استهداف الأفراد، مهما علا شأنهم، هو حل قصير الأمد لمشكلة عميقة الجذور؟ ماذا لو تجرأنا على الاعتراف بأن هذه التكتيكات لا تقتل الفكرة، بل تغذيها؟ وأن كل عملية استهداف هي في جوهرها اعتراف ضمني بفشل الحلول الأخرى؟ هل نحن خائفون من الاعتراف بأننا عالقون في حلقة مفرغة، وأننا نكرر نفس الأخطاء ونأمل في نتائج مختلفة؟ هل يمكن لقضية عادلة، أو قضية يعتبرها أصحابها كذلك، أن تموت بموت شخص؟ أم أن الأشخاص هم مجرد أدوات لفكرة أكبر منهم، وأن الظروف هي التي تصنع الأبطال أو الأعداء، لا العكس؟ دعنا نفتح هذا النقاش بجدية، ونضع جانباً العواطف للحظة، لنسأل: هل هذا هو الطريق الوحيد المتاح لنا؟ وهل هو طريق يؤدي إلى بر الأمان حقاً؟
خاتمة استفزازية
في خضم كل هذه التساؤلات، وفي ظل هذا الواقع المرير الذي نعيشه، والذي تتجدد فيه فصول المأساة بشكل دوري، أترك لك هذه الأسئلة لتفكر فيها وتشاركنا رأيك بصراحة تامة: * هل تعتقد حقاً أن هناك حلاً عسكرياً نهائياً لصراع بهذا التعقيد؟ * متى سنتوقف عن تداول نفس الروايات ونبحث عن بديل حقيقي يكسر هذه الدائرة من العنف؟ * ما الذي يجب أن يتغير في طريقة تفكيرنا، نحن الشعوب، لندفع صناع القرار نحو مسارات مختلفة أكثر إنسانية وفعالية؟
Frankly: Does a Bullet Kill an Idea, or Birth a Thousand More?
We frequently wake to news of a targeted strike, often accompanied by assurances that this "painful blow" will fundamentally alter the course of a conflict. Yet, a persistent, unsettling whisper at the back of our minds asks: "Has anything truly changed?" Let's be frank; we're not merely discussing statistics or press releases. We are witnessing an endless cycle of action and reaction, where every fallen "leader" seemingly sows the seed for another. When will we pause this repetition and dare to ask the profound questions that truly matter?
The real question everyone avoids, obscured by statements of condemnation, denunciation, and justification, is whether we genuinely believe that conflict is a mere chess game where the fall of a single piece decisively shifts the outcome. Can the human embodiment of an idea, a cause, truly be extinguished by a bullet or a missile? We often appear to be dousing a fire by adding more fuel, then express surprise when the flames intensify. Don't we observe that every targeted leader often transforms, in the eyes of their supporters, into a martyr, a symbol, an inspiration for a thousand new leaders? Is the core issue with the individuals themselves, or with the underlying circumstances that give rise to them? This isn't a simple query, nor does it have an easy answer, but it demands an honest discussion.
There are those who perceive such operations as an absolute necessity for their security, aimed at dismantling "enemy" structures and eradicating the roots of "terrorism." They argue that these leaders are masterminds whose removal destabilizes hostile capabilities—a seemingly convincing logic at first glance, intended to sever the head of the snake and diminish immediate threats. Conversely, others view these same operations as aggressive escalation, illegitimate targeting, and another crime added to a long record. They assert that these leaders symbolize resistance and steadfastness, and that targeting them only fuels anger and determination. Don't these narratives, from opposing sides, echo each other disturbingly? Each party casts itself as a victim and the other as an aggressor, justifying actions with the rhetoric of "self-defense" or "deterring aggression." Are we truly in a security war, or an endless war of narratives where true victory remains elusive, yielding only more human and moral losses?
What if we were frank and acknowledged that targeting individuals, regardless of their stature, offers only a short-term remedy to a deeply entrenched problem? What if we dared to admit that these tactics don't kill an idea but rather nourish it, and that each targeting operation is, in essence, an implicit admission of the failure of other solutions? Are we afraid to concede that we are trapped in a vicious cycle, repeating the same mistakes while hoping for different outcomes? Can a just cause, or one perceived as such, truly die with the death of a person? Or are individuals merely instruments for a larger idea, with circumstances shaping heroes or adversaries, rather than the other way around? Let's seriously engage in this discussion, setting aside emotions for a moment, to ask: Is this the only path available to us, and does it genuinely lead to safety?
